Given-

Area of square shaped park=x^2. (x is the side of the square)

There is a track surrounding it of 4m wide so the side of the park including the track=

x+4+4

=x+8m^2

Area of the park with the track= (x+8)^2=400m^2

=(x+8)*(x+8)=400

( x+8)=20

x=12

So the area of the park without the track=12*12

=144m^2
