Solving equation 2

a² + b² = 17

or, (a+b)² - 2ab = 17

or, (-3)² - 2ab = 17 [From---(1)]

or, 9 - 17 = 2ab

or, -8 = 2ab

or, ab = - 8

Hence, I get some of roots = - 3
