x² +3x - 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Sum of zeros = - 3

Sum of square of zeros = 17

To Write:

The quadratic polynomial

How to Solve:

1.As we know 2 things are required to form a quadratic equation or polynomial, Sum of Zeros and Product of Zeros. As Sum of zeros are given we will find the product of zeros.

2. We will use the formula and get answer

Solution:

let, The zeros be a and b.

According to given,

a + b = - 3 ----(1)

a² + b² = 17 ----(2)

Solving equation 2

a² + b² = 17

or, (a+b)² - 2ab = 17

or, (-3)² - 2ab = 17 [From---(1)]

or, 9 - 17 = 2ab

or, -8 = 2ab

or, ab = - 8

Hence, I get some of roots = - 3

and product videos of roots = - 4

The quadratic polynomial is,

x² - (sum of zeros)x + (product of zeros)

x² - (- 3)x + (- 4)

x² +3x - 4

Therefore, The required polynomial is x² + 3x - 4.
