2x + 5y = 1 --------1

2x + 3y = 3 --------2

\mathfrak\red{by\:using\:substitution\:method\::-}

in equation 1 ,

2x + 5y = 1

2x = 1 - 5y

x = 1 - 5y / 2 ----------3

substituting value of X in equation 2

2x + 3y = 3

2 (1 - 5y / 2) + 3y = 3

1 - 5y + 3y = 3

- 2y = 3 - 1

y = -2/2

y = \fcolorbox{red}{yellow}{-1}

substituting value of Y in equation 1

2x + 5y = 1

2x + 5(-1) = 1

2x - 5 = 1

2x = 6

x = \fcolorbox{red}{yellow}{3}
