ᴀɴsᴡᴇʀ

  • \large{\boxed{\boxed{ a = 1}}}

ᴇxᴘʟᴀɪɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴ

GIVEN

  •  (a-b), a, (a+b) are zeroes of cubic polynomial

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:2x^3 - 6x^2 + 5x - 7

CALCULATION

We have,

 sum\:of\:zeroes = - \frac{coeff\:of\:x^2}{coeff\:of\:x^3}

\implies (a-b)+ a+(a+b) = - \frac{-6}{2}

\implies a-b+ a+a+b = 3

\implies 3a = 3

\implies a = 1
