In the recent years the rate of pollution is increasing very sharply because of the industrialized waste material mixing out directly into the soil, air and water. Pollution means introduction of harmful substances into the natural environment that causes instability,disorder,harm or discomfort to the ecosystem. Pollution has adverse effects on the environment. Pollution leads to health hazards like cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, throat inflammation, chest pain and congestion.

In view of the ill effects of pollution, the governments of all the countries of the world have passed stringent legislation to control pollution. Many governments have introduced CNG run public transport, solar energy, recycling of wastes to check pollution. Various awareness programmes are being undertaken to make the public aware about the evil effects of pollution. Pollution is a major threat to the survival of human beings, indeed, all living beings.

Continuous and unnecessary cutting down of the forests, urbanization and large production through industrialization has involved as a huge causes of the pollution. Harmful and poisonous wastes created from such activities causes irreversible changes to the soil, air and water which ultimately push lives towards pain. This big social issue needs a public level social awareness programme to destroy by its root to get complete relief.
