\frac{secx - tanx}{secx+tanx}×\frac{secx - tanx}{secx+tanx}=\frac{(secx- tanx)^{2} }{secx^{2}-tanx^{2}  }

=\frac{secx^{2} +tanx^{2} +2 secx tanx }{1}         (using identity secx^{2} -tanx^{2} =1)

=1+tanx^{2}+tanx^{2}+2 secx tanx

=1+2tanx^{2}+2 secx tanx
