(i):- Linear momentum before collision of two bodies is equal to the linear momentum of the body after collision and the energy is conserved.

mv = m'v'

Linear momentum = mass × velocity = mv

(ii):- Net force,F = (40-25)N = 15N

mass, m= 5 Kg

Now, F = ma

or, a= F/m = 15/5 = 3 m/s^2
