ii) Shown that AD = AB and CD = BC

Step-by-step explanation:

Between ΔADC and ΔABC:

∠1 = ∠2 and ∠3 = ∠4

∴ ∠ADC = ∠ABC [since sum of three angles in both the triangles = 180°]

Also, side AC is common between the triangles.

∴ ΔADC and ΔABC are congruent.

i) Yes, ΔADC ≅ ΔABC

ii) Since, ΔADC and ΔABC are congruent, their corresponding sides are equal.

AD is opposite to ∠3 and must be equal to opposite to ∠4.  

∴ AD = AB

Similarly, CD is opposite to ∠1 and must be equal to opposite to ∠2.  

∴ CD = BC
