The correct sequence of cloning is

a) Isolate DNA from donor cell --->Remove DNA from recipient cell----->Implant donor DNA into egg cell of recipient cell

  • Cloning is done to produce a identical copies of the individual with valuable characteristics.

  • The DNA containing the required characteristics is isolated from the donor's somatic cell.

  • It is then introduced into the germ cell (egg cell) of the recipient after enucleation.

  • The first cloned sheep produced was Dolly in the University of Edinburgh, Scotland by Wilmut and Campbell.

  • It is a Finn Dorset sheep.

  • Here the DNA from the mammary cell of the donor is introduced into the egg cell of the surrogate mother.
