Given:

  • Side of original figure = 10cm
  • Radius of Circle = 3.5cm

To finD:

  • Area of shaded portion

Solution:

Finding area of original figure (square):

given that Side of square is 10cm

We know that :

  • Area of square = (side)²

Putting values:

Area of original figure (square) = (10cm)²

→ Area of original figure (square) = 10cm × 10cm

→ Area of original figure (square) = 100cm²

Finding area of Circle under the square :-

Given that radius of Circle is 3.5cm

We know that :

Area of Circle = πr²

Putting values:

Area of Circle = πr²

→Area of circle = 22/7 × (3.5)²

→ Area of Circle = 22/7×12.25

→ Area of circle = 269.5/7

→ Area of circle = 38.5cm²

_______________

Finding area of shaded portion :-

Given that area of original figure is 100cm² and area of Circle under the original figure is 38.5cm².

We know that:

  • Area of shaded reason = A. of original figure - A. of Circle

Putting values:

Area of shaded portion = 100cm² - 38.5cm²

→ Area of shaded portion = 61.5cm²

Therefore,

\large{\boxed{\mathfrak{\green{Area\: of\: shaded\: portion\: is\: 61.5cm²}}}}
