since, 9 ohm resistance is cut into three equal parts

so, each parts have 3 ohm resistance.

since , these three are connected in parallel

therefore ,

equivalent resistance ==

1/R = 1/3+1/3+1/3 = 3/3 = 1

=> R = 1 ohm

hence, equivalent resistance of combination is 1ohm
