Let the two numbers be X and y respectively,

x/y = 1/3

3x - y = 0 (1st equation)

Now,

X + 5/y + 5 = 1/2

2x + 10 = y + 5

2x - y = -5 (2nd equation)

So,

In the first equation,

X = y / 3

Substitute X's value in equation second,

2(y / 3) - y = -5

2y / 3 - y = -5

-y / 3 = -5

y = 15 .

Now,

X = 15 / 3

X = 5 .

Therefore the numbers are 5 and 15 .

Hope this helps you buddy!!
