Answer.

  • Factorised form - (2x + 3)(x - 5).

Solution.

Given -

= 2x² - 7x - 15

By splitting the middle term, we get,

= 2x² - 10x + 3x - 15

Taking 2x as common from first two terms, we get,

= 2x(x - 5) + 3x - 15

Taking 3 as common from last two terms, we get,

= 2x(x - 5) + 3(x - 5)

Taking (x - 5) as common, we get,

= (2x + 3)(x - 5)

Which is our required answer.
