Given :-

  • Mass = 250 g
  • Velocity = 8m/s

To find :-

  • Momentum = ?

We know that :-

  • Momentum = mass × velocity

Solution :-

Firstly checking whether all units are in S.I. units ,

  • Mass is not in S.I. unit

By converting ,

→ 250g to kg

→ 250g = 0.25 kg

  • Velocity is in S.I. unit .

Substituting the values ,

☞ Momentum = 0.25 × 8

☞ Momentum = 25/100 × 8

☞ Momentum = 1/4 × 8

☞ Momentum = 1 × 2

Momentum = 2 kgm/s

Hence , momentum = 2kgm/s

GIVEN:-

  • Mass=250 gm=0.25 kg
  • Velocity

TO FIND:-

Momentum

EXPLANATION:-

We know that:-

Momentum=Mass×Velocity

               or

p=mv

So let's put the data in the formula:-

Momentum=0.25×8

Momentum=2

SO THE MOMENTUM OF THE BODY IS 2 KG M/S
