(i) Intial velocity means the velocity at t=0.

From the graph we can see that when t=o the velocity = 80m/s

(ii) Given,

u = 80m/s

v = 0m/s

t = 8s

Acceleration = 0 - 80/8 = -10m/s^2(-ve sign indicates deceleration or retardation.)

(iii) Distance travelled = area of the figure

=> 1/2(8)(80) = 320m

(iv) SI unit of distance = m
