Formula by cross method-

1. Cupric oxide-

Cuprous is copper +1 cation (Cu+1)

whereas cupric is copper +2 cation (Cu+2)

So, here valency of copper=2

Valency of oxide (O 2-)= 2

By applying crisscross method:

The formula will be CuO. ☑️

2. Magnesium oxide- Mgo ☑️

3. Hydrogen sulphide- H2S☑️
