Raw data :-

The data obtained in original form is called Raw data or Ungrouped data.

Frequency:-

The number of times an observation occurs is called the frequency.

Bar graph:-

Representing the data with the help of bars or rectangles in a diagram is called a bar graph or a bar diagram.

Double bar graph:-

Representing the data with the help of double bars or rectangles in a diagram is called a double bar graph or double bar diagram.

  • Bars of uniform width are drawn with equal spacing between them on x-axis depicting the variable.
  • The values of the variables are shown on y-axis.
  • The heights if the bars will be proportional to values of the variables.
  • In a bar graph we take only one bar for each observation.
  • In a double bar graph we take double bars at a time for two observations.
  • The bar in the bar graph represents the each observation.
  • The bars in the double bar graph represents two observations.
