You can see that the first clock is showing times distributed from 11:59:08 to 12:01:30. The interval of the time is 142 seconds.

Whereas the second clock is showing times distributed from 10:14:53 to 10:15:24. The interval here is 31 seconds.

Since the second clock has readings which is distributed over a smaller interval, it is more precise. Thus, for an experiment which needs precision, second clock should be preferred.
