when a copper coin is dipped in silver nitrate solution , since cu is more reactive than ag (silver) by reactivity sereis cu ( copper) replaces silver from silver nitrate solution and copper is dissolve into the solutin and at the same time silver gets coated at the surface of copper coin ( also known as electroplating)
