Answer:18

Step-by-step explanation:

     sinA=1/3   (given)

 we know

 sin²A  + cos²A=1                        as  sin A=1/3  ∴sin²A=1/9

1/9+cos²A=1

cos²A=1-1/9

cos²A=8/9   ..........(1)

 as   sin²A=1/9

   so 1/sin²A=1/9

     multiplying  cos²A  both sides

cos²A/sin²A=cos²A/9

cot²A=cos²A/9                                as cosA/sinA= cotA

cot²A=(8/9)/9           from 1

cot²A=8

multiplying    and then adding   2 both sides

2cot²A+2=8*2+2

∴2cot²A+2=18
