Solution :

Dimensions of the oil tin :

Length (l) = 26cm

Breadth (b) = 26cm

Height (h) = 45cm

Sheet required to make

one tin = Total surface area

= 2(lb+bh+lh)

= 2(26×26+26×45+26×45)

= 2(676+1170+1170)

= 2×3016

= 6032 sqcm

Sheet required to make 20

such tins = 20×6032

= 120640 cm²

= 12.0640 m²

Now ,

Cost 1m² sheet = Rs 10

Cost of 20 tins = 10×12.064

= Rs120.64
