Greed and Deceit govern the lives of Slater and the Jordan families. When everyone comes to know of grandfather's death, Mrs. Slater didn't even wait to confirm the news from a doctor and instead started to plan on possessing the grandfather's property. Even her sister Mrs. Jordan joined in later to it.

yes I am agree with the above statement .man has lost his values in this manipulative world .He has degraded his moral values for the greed of money .The same example we had seen in dear departed where two sisters shows no respect for their father. The moment they come to know that their father is no more they become active in thinking to grab all his belongings .one by one they take his bureau ,mantlepiece ,insurance policy etc.Although they have worn black mourning dress but they have no concern .But Abel was fully conscious of their activities .He is very grieved at his daughter's behaviour .He exposes them and snaps all relations with them when he faced the truth that they deceived him...plz mark my brainliest
