Remainder is f(a)

When a polynomial is divided by another polynimial of degree n, the remainder is of degree n-1

So when f(x) is divided by x-a, remainder is a constant.

f(x)= g(x) (x-a) + k

f(a)=k

∴remainder=f(a)
