\bigstar Given:

  • Initial temperature = 40^{o} \: C
  • Change in temperature per hour = -5^{o}\: C

\bigstar To Find:

  • Room temperature after 10 hours of freezing process.

\bigstar Solution:

According to the question,

Let us take the lowered temperature as negative,

So, change in temperature after 10 hours = (-5) \times 10 = -50^{o}\: C

∴ The room temperature after 10 hours of freezing process = 40^{o}\: C + (-50^{o}\: C)

\implies \boxed{\underline{\underline{-10^{o}\: C}}}

Hence, the room temperature for 10 hours after the process begins will be -10^{o} \: C
