Thanks for your question ...
Your required answer :
Given :
- Angle CKP = 70°
- Angle BHE = 140°
- AB // CD
To find :
- x and y
Solution :
- Angle HPF = Angle CKP ( Alternate Interior angles)
- Angle HPF = 70°
Now ,
- Angle HPF + Angle y = 180° ( Linear Pair )
- 70° + y = 180°
- y = 180° - 70°
- y = 110°
Now
- Angle BHE + Angle EHP = 180° ( Linear Pair )
- 140° + Angle EHP = 180°
- Angle EHP = 180° - 140°
- Angle EHP = 40°
Now , In traingle EPH :
- Angle EHP + Angle y + Angle x = 180° ( Sum of all interior angles of triangle is 180° )
- 40° + 110° + Angle x = 180°
- Angle x = 180° - 150°
- Angle x = 30°
Therefore :
- x = 30°
- y = 110°
