Given : √23 + x√10 = √18 + √5

⇒ √23 + x√10 = 3√2 + √5

On squaring both sides, we get

⇒ (√23 + x√10)^2 = (3√2 + √5)^2

⇒ (23 + x√10) = 18 + 5 + 6√10

⇒ 23 + x√10 = 23 + 6√10

⇒ 23 + x√10 - 23 = 6√10

⇒ x√10 = 6√10

⇒ x = 6.

Therefore, the value of x = 6.

Hope it helps!

⇒ (23 + x√10) = 23 +
