Explanation:

(a) electronic configuration = 2, 8, 7

 therefore, atomic number = 2 + 8 + 7

                                             = 17........(Chlorine)

(b) So, this can actually be any element from the 17th group in the periodic table that would include - Fluorine(F), Bromine(Br), Iodine(I), Astatine(At).....so, whichever element you like from these, can write.

(c) Since this is Chlorine(because it has the atomic number 17), and the other element mentioned has the atomic number 16(Sulphur), so

obviously 17 > 16 (logic applied). Therefore, Chlorine(17) is bigger than Sulphur(16).
