To simplify what has already been said, the easiest way to find the equation of a line is to look for the x and y intercepts. One point will be (a, 0) and the other will be (0, b), where a and b are numerical values. The slope is simply m = b/a. When you have the y-intercept, (0, b), you can use the form y = mx + b to find the equation for the line. Consequently with the notation used, you can represent this as y=(b/a)x + b where b is the value from (0,b) and a is the value from (a,0).
