√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)=√21×8×7×6=84cm cube. then length of rect is 14cm so b=84÷14=6cm breadth of the rect

A method for calculating the area of a triangle when you know the lengths of all three sides.

Let a,b,c be the lengths of the sides of a triangle. The area is given by:

Area=√[p(p−a)(p−b)(p−c)]

where p is half the perimeter, or
p = (a+b+c)/2

let a=13 , b=14 , c=15.
therefore,
p = (13+14+15)/2
=42/2
=21

Hence area of given triangle by using heron's formula,
Area =
square root of[21(21-13)(21-14)(21-15)]
= squre root of [ 21x8x7x6]
= squre root of [7056]
Area= 84 sq.cm

since given area of traingle is equal to the area of rectangle.....

we have,
Area of rectangle = length x breadth
i.e. 84 = 14 x breadth
------(length=14cm is given)

therefore,
breadth = 84/14
= 6 cm

Hence the breadth of the given rectangle is 6cm.
