She was badly injured while practicing for sub-junior district level athletics in 1975.She always participates in all races like 100 metre, long jump, high jump, etc. She got 2 silver medals in New Delhi Asian games in 1982.She also got 4th place in 400 in Los Angeles Olympics in 1984.She got award for 1st female Athlete in Jakarta Meet in 1985.
