Explanation: HEY there, here it's solution

Let X be the total distance traversed by the point and t1

the time taken to cover half the distance. Further let t2 be the time to cover the rest half of the distance.

Therefore  X÷2=Vo×t1 ⇒t1=X÷2Vo -------1)

And Similarly for second half,

                      X÷2=(V1 +V2)t2 ⇒2t2=X÷(V1+V2) ------------2)

∴ Average velocity or mean velocity,

      ⇒V(avg)=X÷(t1+2t2) =   X÷[(X÷2Vo) +(X÷(V1+V2)]

       ∴⇒V(avg)= [2Vo(V1+V2)÷V1+V2+2Vo]

∴Hence option A is correct.
