Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of the daughter be 'x'.

Five years ago-:

daughter = x-5

mother = 7(x-5) = 7x-35

Present age -:

daughter = x

mother = 7x-35+5=7x-30

Age after 5 years-:

daughter = x+5

mother = 7x-30 + 5 =7x -25

According to the question -:

Mothers age will be 3 times as of her daughter. Therefor-:

7x -25 = 3(x+5)

x=10

Hence the present age of

Daughter = 10 years

Mother = 40 years
