now ,first add up the resistors of AD & DC = 2Ω + 2Ω =4Ω

and AB &BC  =2Ω +2Ω =4Ω

now the resistors (AD,DC ) ARE parallel to (AB,BC) =4Ω //4Ω

= now here we have to use the formula (R₁R₂)/R₁+R₂

=(4*4)/4+4

=16/8

=2Ω
