Platypus and Echidna

Explanation:

Whale gives birth to young ones.

Bat also gives birth to their young ones.

Platypus and Echidna are warm blooded animals. They have hairs on their body and produce milk from mammary glands to feed their young ones. Only they lay eggs without giving birth to young ones. Echidnas and platypus are the only egg-laying mammals, known as monotremes.

Answer:

1.The characteristics of the organisms under the class pisces are as follows:

  • They are found in fresh, marine, and brackish water.

  • The body is usually streamlined. ...

  • Their body is distributed into a head, trunk and tail.

  • They swim with the help of their tail.

  • Paired and unpaired fins represent the appendages.

2.As for us mammals, only two types lay eggs: the duck-billed platypus and the echidna.

3.Taxonomy is the part of science that focuses on naming and classifying or grouping organisms. A Swedish naturalist named Carolus Linnaeus is considered the 'Father of Taxonomy' because, in the 1700s, he developed a way to name and organize species that we still use today.

4.Binomial nomenclature gives each species a scientific name. Scientific name consists of two parts. The first is genus name and second is species name. It is always written in italics (if typed) or underlined (handwritten). The first letter of genus name is always capitalized. However, the first letter of species is not capitalized. For example, the scientific name of human is Homo sapiens. In this, Homo is genus which includes early and modern humans and sapiens is species specific for humans.
