Explanation:

The N2 is a molecule in which the nitrogen atom forms three bonds with the another nitrogen atom . (attaching image)

OUT OF THREE BONDS , ONE IS SIGMA AND ANOTHER TWO ARE PI BONDS .

In case of the C2 molecule ,

C2 molecules have been found in vapour state. Their double bonds are made of two pi bonds because four electrons need to be accomodated in each bond. But there has been no observation of any presence of sigma bonds in the C2 molecule.

B2 has 2 unpaired electrons because of single occupancy of the degenerate pi orbitals and a bond order of one .

Hope this helps .

All the best for your future endeavours .
