Proof:

L is the midpoint of segAB
Therefore, AL = LB = 1/2 × AB........(2)
M is the midpoint of seg BC
Therefore, BM = MC = 1/2 × BC.......(3)
as AB = BC
AL = LB = BM = MC = 1/2 × AB or 1/2 ×BC ..........from(1,2&3)
Therefore, AL = MC = 1/2 × AB
Therefore, AL= MC
《2》 BL = BM............(1).....(Given)
L is the midpoint of seg AB
Therefore, AL = BL= 1/2 × AB
Therefore, BL = 1/2 × AB
2BL = AB...........(2)
And, M is the midpoint of seg BC
Therefore, BM = MC = 1/2 × BC
Therefore, BM = 1/2 × BC
2BM = BC..........(3)
From 1,2&3
2BL = 2BM
AB = BC........(2 & 3)
Hence, it is proved that AL = MC & AB = BC.
