Let the resistance of 7 ohm be R1 and the resistances of 6ohm be R2 and R3 as represented in the figure .

Now , Equivalent resistances through R2 and R3= R2R3/(R2+R3)= 6×6/(6+6)= 36/12= 3 ohm .

Thus , total equivalent resistance =( 3 +7) ohm = 10 ohm .

Now , I = V/R →The current flowing through the conductor = 12A/10= 1.2A .
