Step-by-step explanation:

In (i) 5y+1 = 6y-1

so, y = 2

& 2(x+1) = 3x-1

2x+2 = 3x-1

x=3

[Diagonals of parallelogram bisect each other]

In (ii) In upper right triangle of rhombus:

90+40+x = 180

so, x = 180-130

x = 70

In lower left triangle of rhombus:

line(PQ) || line(SR)

so, angle(PQS) = angle(RSQ)

hence, 90+y+angle(PQS) = 180

y = 180-90-40

y = 70

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

i) Diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other

∴ 5y + 1= 6y - 1

 1 +1 = 6y -5y

y = 2

Now, 3x - 1 = 2 ( x + 1)

       3x - 1 = 2x + 2

       3x - 2x = 2+1

        x = 3

ii)In a rhombus, the diagonals intersect each other at 90 degrees

In ΔSOR, x + 40° + 90° = 180° (Angle sum property)

        ∴ x= 180°- 130°

           x = 50°

Now, ∠SRP= y  ( Alternate angles of a parallelogram since rhombus

                             is also a parallelogram)

∴∠SRP= y = 40°
