Hi ,

In ∆MRQ and ∆PRS

QR = RS

[ Sides of a square are equal ]

RM = PR

[ Sides of a square are equal ]

<QRM = <QRP + <PRM

<QRM = <QRP + 90° ------( 1 )

[ Each angle of a square is 90° ]

<SRP = <SRQ + <QRP

= 90° + <QRP

<SRP = <QRP + 90° ------( 2 )

From ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) , we get

<QRM = <SRP

Therefore ,

∆MRQ congruent to ∆PRS

[ SAS Congruence rule ]

PS = QM

[ Corresponding parts of

Congruent triangles ]

I hope this helps you.
