(a)15 mins = 4 x 15 = 60+ 20 = 80 degree.
(b) Final temp is -7 degree. Degree per min = -3. Time = 13 mins = 13*-3 = -39.
Therefore, starting temp was 32 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. temperature at being 20°c

temperature increases in per minute 4°c

temperature in 15 minutes = 4x15= 60°c

temperature at the end of experiment = 20°c+60°c=80°c

2. temperature in 13 minutes =

3x13=-39°c (°•° temperature is decreasing)

temperature at being = -7°c-(-39°c)=48°c
