Given,
Ratio of Cu & Zn = 9 : 5

Given weight of Cu = 48.6 gms
Say weight of Zn = x

As per ratio and proprtion,

Ratio of Weight of Cu & Zn :: Ratio of Cu & Zn

48.6 : x :: 9 : 5

Product of Extremes = Product of mean

48.6 × 5 = 9x
=> x = (48.6×5)/9
=> x = 27

The weight of Zn = 27 gms

<b>Heya mate. (^_-). Solution below.
=========================================

♠ Let the common ratio of weights of copper and zinc be 'x'.

♦ Then,
weight of copper = 9x
weight of zinc = 5x

♦ But, A / Q, weight of copper = 48.6 g

=>>> 9x = 48.6

=> x = 48.6/9

=> x = 5.4

♥ •°•

Weight of copper = 9x = 9(5.4) = 48.6 g

Weight of zinc = 5x = 5(5.4) = 27 g

Thank you.. ^_^
