Let the cost of a pencil be Rs. x

So 1 dozen pencils = 12 pencils

=> 12 pencils = Rs. 18

=> 1 Pencil = 18 / 12 = 3 / 2 = Rs. 1.5

Hence one pencil has a cost of Rs. 1.5.

Also Cost of 8 pens = Rs. 104

=> Cost of one pen = Rs. 104 / 8 = 13

Hence cost of one pen = Rs. 13.

So Ratio will be :

Cos of Pencil : Cost of pen = 1.5 : 13 or it can be termed as 3 : 26.

Hope it helped !
