both will be equal to 5

but now subtract 2 from 3 and 3 from 2

-1 ≠ 1

similarly, in multiplication

2× 3 = 3 × 2

but in division

2/3 ≠ 3/2

0.6666 ≠ 1.5

and so on.

So Conclusion is that commutative law is allowed for Addition and Multiplication only, it doesn't apply to division and substraction.
