2. Thematic maps serve three primary purposes. They provide specific information about particular locations.They provide general information about spatial patterns.They can be used to compare patterns on two or more maps.

3. We use green colour on map to identify land ,blue colour to identify water bodies(river,sea,ocean,etc.) and brown colour for mountains, orange colour for plateaus. This makes the map reading easy.
