1)In a gas, the speed of the sounddepends on gamma - the ratio of heat capacities, the temperature, and the molar mass of a gas. As the temperature increases, the speed of sound in air increases. The speed of asolid is higher than the speed of soundin a liquid which in turn is higher than the speed of sound in agas.
4) Period is the amount of time T it takes to repeat itself, and Frequency is the number of times f it repeats in one time unit. Obviously, f = 1/T. If you measure time in s (seconds) then frequency is measured in Hz (cycles or periods per second). Frequency is inversely proportional to time period.
7)Sound cannot travel through thevacuum of space, but visible light and other forms of electromagnetic radiation can. ... The astronauts have devices in their helmets which transfer the sound waves from their voices into radio waves and transmit it to the ground (or other astronauts in space).
Hope it helps .
