Answer:

first let's convert into m/hour

1 km = 1000 meter then speed is

15*1000 / hour

=15*1000/3600 sec

= 15* 5/18

= 75/18 m /s

dist to cover is 750 m ,

we know Dist = speed * time

time = dist / speed

= 750 /75 * 18

= 10*18

= 180 secs or 3 mins

\large\to{\underbrace{\underline{\sf{Understanding\:the\:concept:-}}}}

Here, The man runs 15 km per hour. So how much time will he take to cover 750 metres. So to find in how much time he will cover 750 metre we will first convert 750 metre into km and after that we will apply the formula of time. Formula of Time = Distance/Speed. And then will multiply 60 with it, as we have converted 750 m into km.

ANSWER:-

  • Time taken by him to cover 750 metre is 3 minutes.

GIVEN:-

  • Speed of the man = 15 km/hr

TO FIND:-

  • Time he will take to run 750 metre = ?

FORMULA:-

  • \sf{Time=\dfrac{Distance}{Speed}}

SOLVING BY APPLYING THE FORMULA:-

  • Speed is 15 km/hr.
  • Distance he will cover = 750 metre
  • Conversion of metre into km = 750÷1000 km
  • 750 metre into km = 3/4 km
  • \sf{Time=\dfrac{Distance}{Speed}}

  • Time = \sf{\dfrac{3}{4} \times\dfrac{1}{15}}

  • Time = \sf{\dfrac{\not{3}}{4}\times\dfrac{1}{\not{15}}}

  • Time = \sf{\dfrac{1}{4}\times\dfrac{1}{5}}

  • Time = \sf{\dfrac{1}{4}\times\dfrac{1}{5}}=\dfrac{1}{20}

  • Time = 1/20 hr

  • Time = \sf{\dfrac{1}{20}\times60}

  • Time =  \sf{\dfrac{1}{ \not{20}} \times{ \not60}}

  • Time = 3 minutes

Thus, he will take 3 minutes to cover 750 metre.
