if x= 6+√35

1/x= 1/6+√35
after rationalising
=6-√38
x+1/x=(6+√35)+(6-√35)

Heymate!

Here's the solution...⬇⬇

x = 6 + \sqrt{35 } \\ \frac{1}{x} = \frac{1}{6 + \sqrt{35} } \\ = \frac{6 - \sqrt{35} }{(6 + \sqrt{35} )(6 - \sqrt{35} )} \\ = \frac{6 - \sqrt{35} }{ {6}^{2} - { \sqrt{35} }^{2} } \\ = \frac{6 - \sqrt{35} }{36 - 35} \\ = 6 - \sqrt{35}

Thus,
x + \frac{1}{x} = 6 + \sqrt{35} + 6 - \sqrt{35} <br />\\= 6 + 6 = 12

Therefore,

x + \frac{1}{x} = 12

I hope it helps you...
