The other DJ was going to charge $150 and then $15 per hour. How many hours would both DJ's be the same price and what is that price?

Given : One DJ   charge $200 for travel and music and then $10 per hour. The other DJ  charge $150 and then $15 per hour.

To Find : How many hours would both DJ's be the same price and  that price

Solution:

One DJ   charge $200 for travel and music and then $10 per hour.

Total charges of DJ  = 200 + 10T

T is number of hrs

The other DJ  charge $150 and then $15 per hour.

Total charges of DJ  = 150 + 15T

T is number of hrs

Equate both charges

150 + 15T  = 200 + 10T

=> 5T = 50

=> T = 10

For 10 hrs  both DJ's be the same price

Charges = 200 + 10T   = 200 + 10(10) = 300 $
