basic copper carbonate is a complex salt
it is otherwise known as copper(II) carbonate hydroxide
It is a chemical formed by reaction of copper hydroxide with copper carbonate
its formula is
Cu2 (OH)2 CO3

whereas copper carbonate is a normal salt with formula CuCO3
