Applying Kirchhoff's voltage lawfor the loop ABCDA

-30i1-40i3+40=0

⇒-30i1-40(i1+i2)+40=0

⇒7i1+4i2=4

Applying Kirchhoff's voltage law for the loop ADEFA.

-40i2-40i3+80+40=0

⇒-40i2-40(i1+i2)=-120

⇒i1+2i2=3

On solving equation (ii) and (iii) i1=-0.44A.
